Get in the Recycle Game, Palm Beach County

Tips from Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County

By Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County January 19, 2021

You’re prepping for the big game, but do you have a plan for what to do with your trash after it’s over? Many parties use plates, cups, and utensils made from foam, plastic, or paper and they end up in the recycle bin.

But guess what? They don’t belong there. Trying to recycle those items can actually cause damage to the equipment at the recycling facility, so please - throw them in the trash! Other party supplies that come in aluminum cans and glass and plastic bottles can be recycled in your blue bin, so make sure they end up there!

And if you need new recycling bins ahead of the game, Palm  Beach County residents can replace their recycling bins anytime for free online at  SWA.org/RecycleRight!

Our two-bin recycling program is part of life in Palm Beach County as we all make an effort to preserve the natural beauty of South Florida. With your help, the Solid Waste  Authority of Palm Beach County has made Palm Beach County's recycling program one of the best in the country, and it ranks 4th in the state.

If you currently recycle, thanks for being part of that effort! If you don't, today’s the day to start! Check out SWA.org/RecycleRight for tips on getting started.
