Celebrate America Recycles Day with the Solid Waste Authority!
This fun-filled family event is our community's official celebration of recycling and all its benefits. Did you know that Palm Beach County is currently number one in the state of Florida for recycling? That's thanks to YOU and your participation in our dual-stream recycling program. (And if you're not currently recycling, come find out how you can participate in this important activity.)

This year's event activities include:
- More than 50 exhibitors (food trucks, arts and crafts vendors, local nonprofits and government agencies, and more)
- Waste-to-energy and recycling tours (See first-hand how garbage and recyclables are processed every day in Palm Beach County.)
- Kids Zone (Featuring special guest Clifford the Big Red Dog, face painting, games and more)
- Recycling passport game (Play to redeem a special prize.)
- Heavy Equipment Expo (View up close a garbage truck, bulldozer and more.)
- Drop off your lithium batteries (a fire hazard!)
- SWA Plastic Bag Xchange2 Program (Turn in two empty, clean plastic bags and receive two reusable bags.)
- Free tree giveaway (sponsored by Keep Palm Beach County Beautiful, in partnership with Community Greening)
America Recycles Day, a program of Keep America Beautiful, is a nationally-recognized day dedicated to promoting and celebrating recycling in the United States. Every year on or around Nov. 15 (America Recycles Day), event organizers educate neighbors, friends and colleagues through thousands of events nationwide.
